What is Claude Fable 5?

Claude Fable 5 is the flagship model Anthropic introduced in June 2026 – Anthropic being the company behind the Claude model family. It establishes a new model tier above Claude Opus, which until now was the top model in the line-up. The key facts:

• A new performance class: Fable 5 is Anthropic's most intelligent model, positioned above the entire Opus 4 series.
• Adaptive thinking: Fable 5 decides for itself how thoroughly to reason about a problem – it answers a simple text tweak quickly and takes its time over a complete site structure.
• Strong on long, multi-step tasks: Which is exactly what website generation is – researching, structuring, writing, designing, and staying consistent across many steps.

In short: Claude Fable 5 is built for complex, interconnected work. A multi-page website with a coherent structure, a consistent tone and matching images is precisely that kind of task.

Why Fable 5 was temporarily gone

The background lies not with saldiaBuild but with the model provider – and it was a worldwide issue. Briefly and factually:

• An order from the US authorities: In mid-June 2026, the US Department of Commerce issued an export-control directive that temporarily restricted access to Fable 5 (and its sibling model Mythos 5). Anthropic consequently had to disable the models for all its customers worldwide.
• A security review as the reason: The authorities cited security considerations around the new model. This was a review concerning the model provider – not a problem with saldiaBuild or your website data.
• Cleared after about two weeks: In late June, the US Department of Commerce lifted the restrictions. Anthropic restored worldwide access as of 1 July 2026 – and with it, Fable 5 is available in saldiaBuild once more.

Why you barely noticed

First things first: saldiaBuild kept running the whole time. With us, an AI website builder is never dependent on a single model.
